We had a really fun experience visiting Alert Bay and staying at the Lodge. Our host was very friendly, flexible and accommodating--welcoming us warmly and showing us around the island. We chose to have dinner at the lodge both evenings of our stay which was an excellent choice. The meals were plentiful and very tasty. I would highly recommend the lodge for those who are exploring this beautiful, interesting and culturally significant part of Canada.
Expensive for the quality of the building. The staff was quite nice though.
