An absolutely amazing experience where they take you super close to the whales without disturbing them so you can watch them in their natural habitat. The food they offered us was amazing as well.
Absolutely brilliant afternoon on the water. Skippers were knowledgable and friendly. After setting out on a scenic trip through the islets we came across a pair of bald eagles and some seals on the rocks. Then after a quick visit to see the massive resident sea lion and nearby eagle's nest it was off to find some whales. Spent the better part of the next two hours following 3 humpback whales out in the strait, including a mother/calf pair. Then circled into another bay where we saw a humpback breach in the distance and had a closer encounter with another. Headed back to Alert Bay and saw a massive golden eagle and more seals with their pups in amongst the islets. Couldn't have asked for a better trip! Highly recommend Seasmoke!! We had nice weather with a little bit of wind but the survival suits kept us warm and comfortable despite some overspray. Can't wait to get back here again at some point.
